Smart Job Search in Canada: Strategies, Tools & Tactics was a practical workshop at Global Link on Sunday, May 25, 2025, from 12 to 5 PM. It looked at the Canadian job market with a clear, realistic and practical eye.
Smart Job Search in Canada Starts With a Plan
Many newcomers send hundreds of applications and hear nothing back. The problem is rarely talent. More often it is strategy: the right résumé format, the right network and the right way to present experience in the Canadian style.
The Speakers
- Behshad Sabah (Job Hunt Mentor): professional job search techniques and strategies
- Shahin Azad (CEO of Hanson Academy): employment pathways through educational and academic institutions
A smart search combines online tools with real human connection. Job boards such as the Government of Canada’s Job Bank are useful, but many roles are filled through referrals and conversations. The workshop covered both sides.
