Technology Commercialization was the topic of an in-person Entrepreneurs Club seminar at Global Link, reviewing the experience of creating and commercialising the OrangeMesh technology.

Why Technology Commercialization Matters
Technology is moving at an amazing speed, and there are great opportunities to invest in and develop new products. But is research and development enough? If we cannot sell a technology, all the time, research and money end up as a large digital file of calculations and drawings with no economic return.
That is the real challenge: moving from a working prototype to a product that customers want and are willing to pay for.
Lessons From Mazi Hosseini
The speaker, Mr. Mazi Hosseini, has more than 20 years of experience creating and developing technology in the electronics and communications industry. He shared the path he has travelled, and explained how to find innovation opportunities, develop technology, and approach technology commercialization step by step, including marketing and sales. His examples showed that the hardest part is often not the engineering, but understanding who the customer is and what problem they will pay to solve.
- Finding real innovation opportunities
- From R&D to a market-ready product
- Marketing and selling technical products
- Learning from real successes and mistakes
