Thriving After Immigration was a workshop and networking event at Global Link on Sunday, September 7, from 3 to 7 PM. It asked a question many newcomers quietly carry: after moving to a new country, are we really living a happy, meaningful life, or just rushing from one day to the next?
Thriving After Immigration Starts With a Question
Immigration changes everything at once: work, language, friendships and routines. It is easy to focus only on survival and forget about joy, purpose and growth. This event invited participants to step back and look at their lives with fresh eyes.
The first part was an energetic learning session led by Dr. Shahab Anari, an international master coach. He introduced the scientific PERMA model of human flourishing, which looks at positive emotion, engagement, relationships, meaning and accomplishment. The model comes from the work of psychologist Martin Seligman.
Networking for Thriving After Immigration
The second part, as always, was about people. Participants had plenty of time to meet like-minded guests, build new connections and create professional and business opportunities. The organisers have followed this format at their events for the past eight to nine years.
Thriving after immigration rarely happens alone. A single conversation can lead to a job, a partnership or a friendship that makes a new city feel like home.

در بخش اول، دکتر شهاب اناری، مسترکوچ بین‌المللی، مدل علمی PERMA برای شکوفایی انسان را معرفی کرد. در بخش دوم، شرکت‌کنندگان فرصت داشتند با افراد هم‌فکر شبکه‌سازی کنند و فرصت‌های حرفه‌ای و بیزینسی تازه بسازند.
