From Immigration to Employment with Vahid Babaei took place at Global Link Trade Hub on September 14, 2024, from 5 to 8 PM. The seminar was a valuable opportunity for people relocating to Canada and looking for meaningful work.
Vahid Babaei: Meeting Canadian Employers
The event was designed to bridge the gap between immigrants and the Canadian job market by sharing insight into the hiring practices and expectations of Canadian employers.
Participants gained first-hand knowledge about the Canadian job landscape, including in-demand skills, industry trends and effective job search strategies.
What Was Covered
- What makes a successful candidate in Canada
- How to align your skills with market needs
- Industry trends and in-demand skills
- Effective job search strategies
The seminar, hosted by Vahid Babaei, included presentations and interactive discussions with employers from different sectors, who shared their perspectives directly with participants. Hearing a hiring manager explain what they look for in a résumé or an interview is often more useful than reading dozens of online guides. Official job market data is also available on Job Bank.
Why Vahid Babaei’s Seminar Helps Newcomers
Many skilled immigrants find that their experience is not recognised right away. Hearing directly from employers helps them understand how to present that experience, which gaps to fill, and where to focus first.
